Homeschooling my 3 Year Old

Love the Lord your God with all your heart, all your soul, and all your strength. Always remember these commands I give you today. Teach them to your children, and talk about them when you sit at home and walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up. Deuteronomy 6:5-7

I enjoy Lilian’s current home-school phase. She is eager to learn as most children are and she shows a great sense of pride when she tells her dad the new things she has learned how to do. I would recommend home-schooling to any one that finds it feasible to fit in to there schedule. It keeps their mind expanding consistently and it helps them adapt to the learning environment they will have when they enter school. The most important part is the bonding that we have, she is able to learn the way my husband and I see the world and which will keep us united in the long run. There are many different ways to go about home-schooling your child. There is no right or wrong way, if your methods seem to be suitable and effective for the child then you are golden. If a certain pace or method stops working than you adjust to find a good balance for your child.

We use The One Year Devotions for Preschoolers in the mornings and we read to her The Beginner’s Bible before bedtime.

I also love the Kindergarten Toolkit it includes mini lessons, shape flashcards, color flashcards, number flashcards, letter flashcards, and sight words.
